Samsung rolls out November security path on its last year flagship devices Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The update is rolling out with the firmware version G930FXXS1DQK1 and G935FXXS1DQK1 on Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge respectively.
The update weighs around 20 MB in size. It does not include anything else than Android security Patch for the month of November 2017. Although it does contain a fix that blocks the Krack WPA2 vulnerability. The november security patch includes fixes for 61 vulnerabilities found in the Android OS. Patches for six vulnerabilities in Samsung’s software are included as well.
This update is currently rolling out in netherlands. Other markets will soon get the november security patch. If it does not appear on your phone don’t panic it will reach you in couple of days time. You can also check the update by going through the settings>>about the phone>>software update.
While downloading make sure you are on Wifi network as it is a large update. Before start installing the update make sure you charged your phone at least up to 50%. Moreover, this year flagship devices from samsung, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8 and S8+ might get november security update anytime from now.
