Samsung is a little slow in rolling out latest software updates for its smartphones, however, to maintain their goodwill they are trying hard. Today we are having some good news for Samsung smartphone owners. The firm has just released a new update for a number of its devices. If you are wondering it is not an Android version update instead of that it contains new security features. So without making any delay let’s know that whether your smartphone is included in the list or not.
This new update brings a few tweaks to the devices. The major highlight of the update is its latest June 2018 security patch. A few days back an identical update was released for Galaxy A6 and J7 Pro devices, however, this time it is being made available to Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, Galaxy J2 Prime, and the Galaxy A5 2016. These devices are receiving the new update and to be honest being a security patch. It doesn’t bring any noticeable changes in the device. The update is essential as upgraded security policies will protect your device from several vulnerabilities
The update is arriving with the version G950USQU4CRE9 for Galaxy S9, G955USQU4CRE9 for the Galaxy S9+, G532MUMS1ARF2 for the Galaxy J2 Prime, and A510MUBS4CRF2 for the Galaxy A5 2016. It is worth noting that the only way to install is OTA and for now it is in rolling phase.
