Samsung starts rolling out Android security patch for the month of June 2018 on Galaxy A8. Users of Galaxy A8 who are waiting for Android Oreo Update , they still have wait for some time to get the update. Coming back to the security patch, the update comes with firmware version number A530FXXS2ARF1.
The update weighs about 232 MB in size, which brings the latest security patch and some other optimizations. Coming to June Security Patch it includes 67 improvements for the security of the Android OS. It also includes some of the Samsung’s own app fixes.
However, Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Galaxy A8 is in testing. YOu might see the roll out very soon. Coming back to this update, As it is an OTA update it might take some time to reach each and every user. If the update notification doesn’t appear on your phone don’t panic it will reach you in couple of days. You can also try new stuff by heading to Settings > About phone > System update and download the update manually.
