Samsung releases June security patch to Galaxy J3, J7 Max And J1

Samsung seems to be on an updating spree right now. After sending out a recent firmware update and security patches to the 2016 Samsung Galaxy J7. Samsung is now rolling out the June security patches as OTA update to a group of its smartphones.

The smartphones receiving this June security patch include the Samsung Galaxy J3 2016, Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and the Samsung Galaxy J1.

Samsung seems to be concerned about the recent malware attacks targeting Android. This security patch roll out seems like an attempt to prevent and protect its users from any such malicious attacks in the future.

This update is also said to pack a fix for several miscellaneous bugs. It will help you to improve the overall performance and stability of these devices. Samsung also announced that it will provide further updates for its devices to face a separate list of 16 security issues.

The update is currently rolling out in different phases and you may be getting it anytime. So make sure that you are on a reliable connection and all your data have been backed up before proceeding to install the update.

The build number for the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max is G615FXXU1AQF4 while J320FXXU0AQF1 is for the Galaxy J3 2016. At the last, build J120HXXS0AQF1 is rolling out for Galaxy J1.

You can also check for the update from the system updates section under about menu of your phone’s settings app. If you still didn’t get it, then you have to wait for it.
