Its been two months since Android 8.0 Oreo was officially unveiled. As with every year, Google devices are the ones to get the updates first followed by other OEMs. It is well known that Samsung is slower in providing OS updates to their smartphones. Recently, Samsung Turkey stated that they are working on Android Oreo update and they will start delivering the update from early 2018 .
The first batch of devices to receive the Oreo update will probably be their flagships Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8 . This is just a speculation as Samsung did not provide any further details. Even last year’s flagship Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge received the Nougat update in the beginning of this year. Hence, it will be the case for this year’s flagships. The mid rangers and budget devices will get the Oreo update followed by the flagships later next year.
