After a series of rumors, Samsung has now officially introduced successors to its Galaxy J 2016 series. The new devices namely Galaxy J3 (2017), Galaxy J5 (2017) and the Galaxy J7 (2017) were recently launched in Europe. Though all three smartphones fall in the mid-range category, their sleek metal body design with decent specs make them a worthy choice for new as well as existing users.

Galaxy J3 (2017) sports a 5-inch TFT display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. The smartphone is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 7570 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via a microSD card). The camera segment includes a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone is backed by a 2400mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. Galaxy J3 (2017) will be made available for purchase sometime in August 2017. It is the cheapest among three devices and will cost you around €219 (roughly Rs 15,900).
Galaxy J5 (2017) features a slightly larger 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. The smartphone is powered by 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor with 2GB of RAM. It offers 16GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card slot. Galaxy J5 (2017) boasts a 13-megapixel rear camera and front-facing selfie shooter with LED flash on both sides. The smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) will be available for purchase from June, 2017 with a price tag of €279 (roughly Rs 20,250).
Galaxy J7 (2017) is the most expensive smartphone in the J series segment. The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920. The smartphone powers a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor which is similar to Galaxy J5 (2017). The smartphone is packs a 3GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) will be available to buy starting July, 2017 and will be priced at €339 (roughly Rs 24,600).
