Similar like old Galaxy Devices, Samsung Galaxy S4 will also be shielded with Plastic Body, as said by executive VP of mobile Y.H. Lee to CNET. This seems to be the big disappointment for those who wanted aluminium bodies like the iPhone 5 or the HTC One on Samsung Galaxy S4. So now its clear that Samsung’s next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S IV, will likely be made out of plastic.
As according to an Interview taken down by Roger Cheng over at CNET with Y.H Lee gave answers to question like why Samsung use Plastic? and some other regional Questions. Y.H Lee responded by saying that plastics absorbs impacts better. Plastic bodies are easier to produce, cut device manufacturing cost. He further said that they have all technology to build aluminum smartphones, but they prefer keeping their big fat margins.
Coming onto Galaxy S IV of which Samsung want to sell 100 million devices this year will be designed and manufactured with plastic. Even though the outer-body may be made of plastics. Beside above reasons Samsung also want to give customers access to easily open backcovers and other body parts to modify them according to need.

Agree, I rather have a plastic casing and be able to modify, change out the battery or Micro SD card for memory expansion...it makes sense. Choice is what matters.
