After Vietnam, Samsung has launched Galaxy M12 in India. The new mid-range smartphone from the company offers extensive features from display to performance with commendable battery life. The smartphone is available in two storage configurations and three-colour variants. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest Samsung handset.
Samsung portrays the screen of Galaxy M12 as ‘Infinity-V Display’. It features an HD+ display with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel, a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, and a 90Hz refresh rate. Gorilla Glass 3 acts as a protective shield for Galaxy M12.
Beneath, the handset is fueled by Exynos 850 SoC powered by Android 11 with Samsung One UI 3.0 skin on top. The phone provides up to 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage as storage variants which are expandable up to 1 TB via MicroSD.
For connectivity purposes, the device comes with dual-SIM, 4G, single-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, GALILEO). While for sensors, it indulges an accelerometer, grip sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It hosts a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port.
At the rear, the device carries a quad-camera setup consisting of 48 MP wide + 5 MP ultra-wide + 2 MP macro + 2 MP depth sensors. Whereas, a V-shaped notch accommodates the single 8 MP front wide lens.
Backing up the Galaxy M12 is the strong 6000 mAh battery with 15W of charging support. Talking about the size, it measures 164.0 x 75.9 x 9.7mm in dimensions and weighs 221g. The smartphone is launched in vibrant variants of Attractive Black, Elegant Blue, and Trendy Emerald Green.
The smartphone will be accessible from March 18 at 12 noon via Amazon, Samsung online store, and leading offline retail stores across India. For the 4 GB + 64 GB variant Galaxy M12 cost INR 10,000 while the 6 GB + 128 GB variant is set for INR 13,499. Additionally, Samsung is offering an instant cashback of INR 1,000 on purchases made via ICICI Bank Credit (EMI, non-EMI) or Debit card (only EMI).
