Today with the launch of many new smartphone companies, there is a need for OEM’s to be very competitive globally. This overall has increased the competition to a very high level. Today’s competition required more features but at a competitive rate and most of the smartphone companies aren’t able to do this.
But Samsung is a exception to this. It’s sales have been growing every quarter. Initially Samsung had set up a target of 320 million shipments of smartphone for this year. I know this heck of a big target. But the initial phase saw a great boost in shipments. The main reason was sales of S9 and S9+.
This made Samsung rethink its 320 million target and it increased it to 350 million. But analysts are quite wary about this target. A number of chinese smartphone companies like Vivo, Xiaomi, Oppo due to their market friendly durable device at competitive pricing have negatively impacted Samsung.
And forecast reports, also reveal that the device Galaxy S9 will not be shipped more than 30 million units. And this is the record low shipment for Galaxy S Series since 2012. And if this is the case then, 350 million target is very difficult one to conquer.
In such a case arrival of Galaxy Note 9 can act as an ease for the smartphone maker.
