Samsung offers three flagship Android devices and they are the Galaxy S series, the Galaxy Note series and the Galaxy Tab S series. Last year, the Galaxy Tab S3 was unveiled at MWC 2017. Thus, the same was expected for this year’s Galaxy Tab S4 when it was leaked few days before MWC 2018. However, that did not happen and now the Galaxy Tab S4 gets WiFi certified which means the launch is imminent.
The WiFi certification did not reveal anything new about the Galaxy Tab S4 except for the firmware build numbers. There will be two versions of the Galaxy Tab S4 like the previous generations – only WiFi and LTE / WiFi. The firmware build number for the same are T830XXU0ARDA and T835XXU0ARDA respectively.
According to the previous benchmark leak, the Galaxy Tab S4 will be powered by last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. It will feature a massive 10.5 inches 2,560×1,600p AMOLED display with 16:10 aspect ratio. And for optics, it will come equipped with a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Lastly, it will run on Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung Experience out of the box.
There is no information available regarding the launch of this device. But, it is expected to be announced at IFA 2018 in September.
