We are nearly half the way in June, that means its time for security patches to come through. Accordingly, Samsung has three devices lined up for the June security patch. Two of them are tablets. And one is a smartphone.
The tablet, namely the Galaxy Tab A 2016 which comes with an S Pen will receive a software build numbere P585JXU2BQF1.
For tablet called Galaxy Tab Iris the build number is T116IRDDU1BQF1.
And the smartphone is Galaxy A5 2016. It will receive the security patch named A510MUBS3CQF1. Moreover, The device has already received Android Nougat update in India.
All three devices will receive the security patch via the OTA update. If it hasn’t arrived on your device, it will soon. Security patches are meant to make devices safer by plugging security gaps left by previous updates. There might be some performance tweaks as well. And usually, the update is very light-weight compared to OS updates.
As always, charge your batteries to half at least, log on to your Wi-Fi and head on to the Settings – About – Software updates menu if you don’t see the update yet.
