Nearly six or seven months ago, Microsoft had started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S8/S8+ in U.S. Now, this special edition S8/S8+ is made available for purchase through Microsoft Stores in U.S. The online store has enlisted the Galaxy S8 and S8+ at a price of $724.99 and $824.99 respectively.
In case if you don’t know, the Microsoft Edition of Galaxy S8/S8+ comes with pre-loaded with Microsoft’s apps and services. Such as, Word, Excel, other office or productivity app suites developed by Microsoft and even the Cortana virtual assistant. Consequently, creating a whole Microsoft eco-system in a Samsung device.
It’s to be noted that, there lies no difference between the usual Galaxy S8/S8+ and the Microsoft Editions in terms of hardware. The Microsoft version of S8/S8+ is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform same as the standard U.S. variant. Similarly, all other hardware specs are too the same.
