Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is receiving a new software update to fix the newly surfaced BlueBorne vulnerability. The BlueBorne threat has exposed billions of smartphones, tablets, PCs, and even IoT devices worldwide, including Android, iOS, Windows, and Linux OS. Samsung has been on top rolling security patches fixing the prevailing threat. Samsung has started pushing firmware build number G928FXXU3CQI1 to the European variants of Galaxy S6 Edge+.
The latest update is bound to fix and resolve the Blueborne threat by addressing Bluetooth vulnerabilities and security flaws. Samsung is rolling out the update over-the-air (OTA), reaching your device anytime soon. As always, you can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > System Updates > Download.
You may download the update as OTA. Alternatively, you have an option to directly download the firmware from Samsung servers and install it manually on your device.
In both cases, it is advisable to sufficiently charge your device and connect your smartphone to a trusted Wi-Fi connection.
