The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini has been in the news for quite some time now. But now, we finally have some high-res images of the device that let us have a good look at it. One of the photos also lets us compare the S5 Mini with its elder sibling.
The S5 Mini looks pretty much the same like the S5 with the same dotted plastic back and the heart rate monitor in the same spot. Sources claim that the Mini is IP67 certified – resistant against water and dust. The UBS-port lid however is missing which was present on the Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy S5 Active.
We also got our hands on some info regarding the specs. The device will be packing a 4.5″ Super-AMOLED display with 720p resolution. The device will be powered by a Exynos 3 Quad chipset along a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU clocked at 1.7GHz, Mali 400 MP4 GPU and 1.5GB of RAM. The device will run on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. Also, the TouchWiz UX that made its debut appearance oh the S5 will also feature on the S5 Mini. This feature allows you to use the Ultra Power Saving Mode, Kids Mode, Private Mode and KNOW and many more.
The S5 Mini also packs an 8MP shutter on the back while the front camera is a 2MP. Gorilla Glass 3 protected screen, 16GB expandable storage and a fingerprint scanner are some of its other features.
