Samsung has included a heart rate monitor, fingerprint sensor, and water resistance on the Galaxy S5 mini, alongside Android 4.4 KitKat and its usual arrangement of software features.
Further there is 8 MP camera at the back with LED flash, 2.1 MP front camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, USB 2.0, A-GPS + GLONASS, IR blaster and a 2,100 mAh battery. Also it provides LTE Category 4 connectivity which allows you to download at speed of 150mbps.
Marketing director Ines Van Gennip said that whilst a “larger screen may not work for everyone”, the mini doesn’t “compromise on the latest features and technology”.
From the specs we can say it doesn’t pack the same amount of power as its elder brother but the design is pretty same as that of S5’s 2.1 or 2.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 16-megapixel camera, full HD screen and a 2,800mAh battery.
The Galaxy S5 mini will be available in Russia in “early July,” after which it will expand globally. It will be available in four colors at launch: black, white, blue and gold.
