[January 16, 2024]: Samsung is rolling out the January 2024 security patch to Galaxy S22. The new firmware version of Galaxy S22: S90xBXXS7DWL3.
[December 20, 2023]: Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus users in India have begun receiving a new update with the December 2023 Android Security patch. The update enhances the overall system security. The update can be identified by firmware version S901EXXS7DWL1/S901EOXM7DWL1/S901EXXS7DWL1.
[December 19, 2023]: Samsung is pushing the December SMR to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in Europe and Asia. The updated firmware build number for the 2022 flagship phones is S90*BXXS7DWL1.
[November 30, 2023]: Samsung released One UI 6 on Android 14 for the Galaxy S22. The November 2023 security patch that is also available to users in Europe and users in the US are getting the DWK5 build number.
[October 26, 2023]: Samsung released One UI 6 betas for the Galaxy S22. The beta for the S22 should have fewer bugs, and bugs are expected to appear in a beta.

[September 07, 2023]: Samsung is now rolling out a new monthly update, that is September 2023 security patch. The Galaxy S22, carrying model number SM-S90xB, now has access to the September 2023 update from Samsung. The update can be identified by firmware version S90xBXXS6CWH6.
[August 29, 2023]: Samsung is rolling out its latest Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 for the Galaxy S22 series. Samsung has rolled out this latest update with a new identification build number for the Galaxy S22 series, which consists of three devices: Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Three of them are holding S908USQU3CWGI, S908USQU3CWGI, and S908USQU3CWGI versions, respectively.
[August 22, 2023]: Samsung has now started releasing an Android 13-based One UI August 2023 security update for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra users in South Korea. The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra are getting the new update with firmware version numbers S901NKSU3CWGI, S906NKSU3CWGI, and S908NKSU3CWGI, respectively.

The update is available in some Latin American countries, including Brazil, Chile, and Colombia and in others, it’s S90*EXXS6CWGA.
[July 05, 2023]: Samsung is now rolling out July 2023 Security Update for the Galaxy S22. The S90xBXXS6CWF6 firmware for the Galaxy S22 series.
[June 22, 2023]: Carrier-locked and unlocked units of the Galaxy S22 series available in the US. The update comes with firmware build numbers S90*USQU2CWE7 and S90*U1UEU2CWE8, respectively.
[May 09, 2023]: The May 2023 security update available for the Galaxy S22 series across Europe can be identified by firmware version S90xBXXS4CWD3. Similarly, the US-unlocked Galaxy S22 series is getting the May 2023 update through firmware version S90xU1UES2CWD3.

[January 06, 2023]: Samsung has released a new security update for its Galaxy S22 series. This security patch fixes vulnerabilities in firmware version S90xU1UES2BVL4 and is currently rolling out to carrier-unlocked units on AT&T , Comcast , Cricket , US Cellular , Verizon and Xfinity Mobile .
[December 19, 2022]: The new software update upgrades the firmware version to S90xU1UEU2BVL1, and it brings the December 2022 security patch. The update is currently rolling out to the carrier-unlocked versions of Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra on four networks in the US.
[December 16, 2022]: The December 2022 Security Patch is now widely rolling out in the European countries via the firmware version S90xBXXU2BVL1.
[November 17, 2022]: Carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra are receiving a new firmware version S901USQU2BVK1 in the US. It brings the November 2022 security patch that fixes close to four dozen security vulnerabilities.

Precisely, it is available in Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Tunisia, Turkey, and the UAE. In addition, the same update is also rolling out in the US with firmware version S90xU1UES2AVHL. It is available for various carrier networks, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, and Xfinity Mobile.
[September 08, 2022]: Samsung is bringing September 2022 security Patch to Galaxy S22 Series. Starting with the Galaxy S22 Ultra Exynos based in Italy, the update will come live in other parts of the world soon. The firmware version S90xBXXS2AVHD is rolling out to the users.
[September 1, 2022]: Samsung is rolling the Second consecutive update for Galaxy S22 series (S901BXXU2AVH9, S906BXXU2AVH9, and S908BXXU2AVH9) based on the August 2022 security Patch in India. However, reports suggest that it is the third update based on the August 2022 Security Patch in European Countries. There’s nothing specific about the changes in the changelog part from overall stability and security improvements.
[September 1, 2022]: The Verizon-based units of the Galaxy S22 series are picking up a new software update in the US. This time, the package brings the One UI 4.1.1 features. Precisely, the build adds Private Share which allows you to edit names once files are shared through private sharing, and Smart View which enhances the Multi-View. The changes are a part of the firmware version S90xUSQU2AVHB.

Smart View
Multi-View has been enhanced to fit your daily usage style. Select the Multi-View controls from the Smart View drop-down list. The Multi-View options window will appear.
[August 11, 2022]: Samsung has started pushing a new update for the Verizon units of the Galaxy S22 series. It brings the August 2022 security patch to smartphones. Apart from it, the changelog doesn’t mention any other changes. The update comes with the build number S901USQU2AVG8 for the Galaxy S22. At the same time, the Galaxy S22+ gets the update with the firmware version S906USQU2AVG8. While the top-of-the-line Galaxy S22 Ultra has S908USQU2AVG8 as the build number.
[August 8, 2022]: Samsung is extending the availability of the August 2022 security patch to more markets. The build is currently rolling out for carrier-unlocked variants in the US. It bumps the firmware version to S90xU1UEU2AVG8. Besides fixing dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities, it might as well bring some general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
[August 1, 2022]: The August 2022 security patch for the Galaxy S22 series is having a wider rollout. The update is rolling out with firmware version S90xEXXU2AVG6 in Latin America. Whereas, the carrier-locked versions of the lineup are upgrading in the US with firmware version S908USQU2AVG6. The company is releasing the updates in a staggered way. Accordingly, users need to be patient for a few days to get the update. Alternatively, the update can be checked manually from Settings > Software updates > Check for the updates.
