Reportedly, Samsung is gearing up to launch its next high-end flagship, Galaxy S22 series. Like its predecessor, the lineup will include three models— Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. In the latest news, the median variant has been approved by the FCC authority.
The arrival of Galaxy S22+ on the FCC doesn’t divulge any major detail, but we do have some render leaks with us. As per the listing, the smartphone will bear the model number SM906U or SM906U1 depending upon the region.
Additionally, it will have a LED view cover that will protect both the front and back sides of the device from any external damage. Therefore, we may say that the Galaxy S22+ will be a little tough. Moreover, the cover will light up with simple, eye-catching notification icons. Also, a specific icon can be set to come up for specific contacts.
According to previous leaks and rumors, the Galaxy S22 series will draw power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. As we know, Samsung debuts its devices in two variants. Accordingly, some regions can also get the Exynos 2200 chipset.
Furthermore, the Ultra model was previously spotted on the China Compulsory Certification (3C) website. The listing suggests the presence of a 5,000mAh battery. As claimed by some rumors, the smartphone could support up to 65W fast charging.
However, there is no official announcement from the company yet. For this, we may have to wait for a month as the lineup is expected to launch next year in February.
