After plenty of rumors and a couple of leaks, the South Korean giant – Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy S21 series officially. The new Galaxy S21 Series is going to be the successor or the next generation of the Galaxy S20 series which was launched previously at the beginning of 2020. The Galaxy S21 and S21+ houses a triple rear camera. Whereas, the Galaxy S21 Ultra comes with a quad rear camera. All three smartphones are IP68-rated for both dust and water resistance.
Ar first, talking about the maint part – the camera, there’s triple rear camera setup that equips with 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, 12-megapixel primary Dual Pixel sensor, and a 64-megapixel sensor with some features like hybrid optic 3x zoom, FoV of 76 degrees, etc. On the front side, it houses a 10-megapixel camera with f/2.2 (FoV of 80 degrees).
With a 6.2-inch Flat FHD+ display and 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, the smartphone measures 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9 mm and weighs nearly 169-171 grams. Other features of the display include a 120Hz refresh rate, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and 421ppi pixel density. Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core processor based on Exynos 2100 SoC Chipset. It is available in two variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
The device runs Android 11 based One UI (Skin) out of the box and packs a 4,000mAh battery with USB PD 3.0 fast charging and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 at 10W. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G, 4G LTE, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, etc. It also comes with a gyroscope, proximity, ambient light, barometer, and geomagnetic sensors.
Galaxy S21+ sports a 6.7-inch Flat FHD+ display with 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 394ppi pixel density. The device comes in two variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. Moreover, it is powered by an Exynos 2100 SoC Chipset.
For photography, there’s a triple rear camera setup that assembles with a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel primary sensor, 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and 64-megapixel telephoto shooter. For selfies and video calling, it packs a 10-megapixel camera. Some of the features of the camera include Director’s View, Super Zoom, 8K Snap, etc.
The device runs Android 11 based One UI (Skin) on the top. There is a 4,800mAh battery, which supports both fast wired and wireless charging. The smartphone measures 161.5 x 75.6 x 7.8 mm nearly 200-202 grams. In-connectivity, there’s 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C port. Some of the sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, etc.
The device features a 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution, HDR10+ support, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, etc. It is powered by an octa-core processor based Exynos 2100 SoC Chipset. The phone comes with 12/16GB of RAM and 128/512GB internal storage.
In-camera department, it sports a quad rear camera setup that compromises of the 108-megapixel sensor, 12-megapixel Dual Pixel sensor, 10-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 10-megapixel camera. On the front, Galaxy S21 Ultra equips with a 40-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
Galaxy S21 Ultra has a 5,000 mAh battery built-in battery that comes with the support for USB PD 3.0 and Wireless Charging 2.0. The smartphone measures 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm and weighs 227-229 grams. The connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port. It also comes with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The sensors on the board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyro scope, and more.
