Samsung is a big name in the smartphone industry. In order to retain its position, the company must deliver innovative products amidst the growing Chinese OEMs. Fresh reports from Korea claim that the company’s next flagship, the Galaxy S10 will feature world’s first 7nm EUV dual core NPU.
Samsung could not be the world’s first company to launch a smartphone with 7nm chipset as Apple(A12 Bionic) and Huawei(Kirin 980) have already launched their newer smartphones with such technology. But, none of them is fabricated by the new EUV(Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography) technology as Samsung’s upcoming unnamed chipset will be.
This technology will help the South Korean tech giant to achieve detailed implementation of semiconductor circuit patterns. Also, it will improve the performance and productivity of the chipset than its predecessor which is Exynos 9810. The report also says that this chipset will feature a dual-core NPU(Neural Processing Unit) to boost the camera performance as well as other AI capabilities.
This new chipset will be first featured in the Samsung Galaxy S10 which will be announced before May 2019. Also, it could power the Galaxy F – Samsung’s foldable smartphone as well as the Galaxy Note 10 later next year.
