The upcoming 64-layer-3-bit-256GB V-NAND memory chip is faster, better and more energy efficient than presently available 48-layer-3-bit-256GB V-NAND memory chip.
64-layer-3-bit-256GB V-NAND memory chip has a data transfer rate of 1Gbps which is 1.5 times faster than 48-layer-3-bit-256GB V-NAND memory chip. The 64-layer chip gives 30% more productivity gain and greater energy efficiency than its predecessor. Also, the new memory chip is 20% more reliable than 48-layer chip.
