The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is getting a firmware update with some new changes. The firmware update might be called last minute tuning by Samsung to be extra sure that all vital functions of the latest Note are working smoothly. As only a few units are in hands of the public. The update arrives at a time when mass sales of the Galaxy Note 8 have not yet begun.
The update isn’t any major reshuffle of the UX or a big patch. On the contrary, it just seeks to make the camera app more stable. Also, it improves wireless charging feature as well. What Samsung means by that is not known but we are sure it isn’t anything major. Also, do note that the update does not bump up the security patch level to September. That means, it will arrive later.
The source adds the firmware version appears as build number N950FXXU1AQI1 and weighs 571.38 MB. The update is for unlocked devices as well as those sold by Vodafone. If users don’t find the update, they can do it manually by going to the Settings -> About -> Software Updates.
