Samsung Galaxy M53 5G debuts with Dimensity 900 SoC, 108 MP camera, and more

After running around the rumor mill, the Galaxy M53 5G is finally official. The device is
the second mid-range smartphone by Samsung to offer an ultra-high-resolution camera. Also, it is superior to other Galaxy M-series smartphones. In fact, the phone shares most of its features with the Galaxy A53.

We can say that Galaxy M53 5G is a cheaper alternative to the Galaxy A53. The smartphone is built around a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O display featuring a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. The panel offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

For optics, the cutout on the front screen houses a 32 MP camera for selfies and video calls. On the other side, it carries a massive 108 MP quad-camera island. The other sensors include an 8 MP ultrawide shooter and a couple of 2 MP snappers to measure macro and depth aspects.

Under the helm, the Galaxy M53 5G draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor. The device is available in a sole 128 GB/ 6 GB RAM storage configuration, which is quite disappointing. Anyway, we can always rely on the RAM Plus feature and external memory. For software, it comes pre-installed with Android 12 along with a layer of One UI 4.1 on top.

A 5,000 mAh power cell runs the Galaxy M53 5G with a 25W fast charging support. The other specifications include sub-6GHz 5G, dual-SIM card slot, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, USB 2.0 Type-C port, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.

Availability and Price

Samsung Galaxy M53 5G will arrive in Blue, Brown, and Green color variants. Unfortunately, the company did not reveal the pricing and availability details yet. Although we expect it launch in some Asian and European countries.
