Finally, the T-Mobile and MetroPCS has started to rollout the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update to the Galaxy J7. Both the Galaxy J7 models SM-J700T1 & SM-J700T are the receiving end with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Currently, the rollout is on the way and it may take few days to reach out to you guys.
The new build J700TUVU3BQI5 for the Galaxy J7 SM-J700T aka T-Mobile variant is available for download and weighs 1.34 GB. It packs all the luxuries of the Android 7.1.1 Nougat with usual bug fixes and performance improvements.
Talking about the MetroPCS version of the Galaxy J7 in the US, then it has received the build version J700T1UVU3BQI5. It also weighs around 1.3 GB and the OTA update is expected in some next few days.
The latest build of both T-Mobile Galaxy J7 and MetroPCS Galaxy J7 includes normal bug fixes along with optimization of Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
Recently, other variants of the Galaxy J7 received the update in other areas. Namingly, Galaxy J7 2016 (SM-J710MN) received Nougat in South America. Further, Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime starts receiving Android 7.0 Nougat in India.
Well, If you are in a hurry and don’t want to wait for OTA update, then you can download the latest firmware and can flash it via ODIN.
Note: If you upgrade the firmware using the firmware that is not from your region, and you get an error message. That means the firmware is not suitable for your Samsung.
