Samsung’s two popular mid-tier devices are on the verge of getting launched. The J7 2017 and J5 2017 have seen a lot of leaks. The Galaxy J7 2017 has already appeared on Geekbench giving us quite a good idea as to its specs, more than once and the Galaxy J5 2017 has already been certified by the FCC.
Now a new report received by tweakers.com from an unknown tipster reveals that both the device will carry a 13 MP front camera. Now recent leaks from Geekbench have already suggested a 12 MP camera both for the front of the device, so this is not a surprise, although this report goes even further to suggest 13 MP camera. Also expected as per the report is a highly awaited fingerprint sensor in the home button for both the devices.
If these rumors are true, we can expect the photography aspect of the J7 and J5 2017 to improve quite a bit. Couple that up with a full metal body and we have quite a premium budget phone in our hands.
Now the upgrades don’t stop just here. The leak received in the form of images says that the Galaxy J7 2017 will have a 5.5 inch Full HD screen,3 GB of RAM and 3,600 mAh battery. All considerably improved specs from last year’s J7 2016. Connectivity options include LTE Cat 6, VoLTE, and VoWiFi.
The J5 will also receive upgrades to the processor expected to be an octa-core processor which is unknown but previous leaks have pegged it to be an Exynos 7870 chipset with octa-core CPU. Both the devices will run Android Nougat. With all these upgrades expect the price to be bumped up to €339 for the J7 (2017) and €279 for the J5 (2017). New images have also been received displaying the front and back of the J5 2017.
