Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) gets Android 7.0 Nougat update

Here’s a good news for Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) users. Samsung, the South Korean giant has started rolling out the Android Nougat 7.0 update for the Galaxy J7. Though for now the update is available for users in Russia only, but we can expect it for worldwide rollout very soon.

The Android 7.0 update is available to Galaxy J7 users via OTA. The update has brought about various features and enhancements but the main feature is Pay Mini. For those who don’t know the Pay mini – it is the lower version of Samsung Pay. Apart from this the device will also receive June 2017 security patch as well as various bugs fixes are packed with the update. The Samsung Mini Pay app supports various bank wallets and also Indian National money transfer service UPI.

With this update, users can now split-screen multitasking feature, improved Google Keyboard, enhanced notification as well as recent applications window. The last but not the least is the improved Doze mode with better extended battery life.

Apart from this, we have an advice for you guys that before you update make sure your device is charged more than 50%. Also, make a backup of your device before you update it. And well, don’t worry if you haven’t received the update yet.

It is an OTA update, it may take sometime to reach your device. Or else you can even go into Setting and can check for the update.
