We reached the end of the year, but still Samsung does not seem to launch new smartphone further. Recently, the 2017 variant of Galaxy J5 Prime was spotted on FCC with model number SM-571F, thus leaking complete specifications of the phone.
According to the FCC listing, the 2017 Galaxy J5 Prime will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7570 Quad core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz. The SoC will be further coupled with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. However, the storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The dimensions of the phone will be 142.7 mm x 69.6 mm x 8.1 mm.
On the front, it will sport a 5 inch HD display and a physical home button housing fingerprint sensor below it. For optics, it will come with a 13MP primary snapper as well as an 8MP secondary shooter for selfies and video callings. It will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. Finally, the whole package will be backed by a 2,500 mAh battery.
When compared to the Galaxy J5 Prime 2016, the 2017 variant does not pack any new updates. The only different is the slightly higher 2,500 mAh (100 mAh more) battery and Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
