After Galaxy A5 2016, now Galaxy C7 starts getting December Security Patch. The update includes many fixes Android vulnerabilities and some Fixes exploits that only affect Samsung devices. The main highlight of the update is December security Patch, the update isn’t packed with anything else.
As we see from last 2-3 months, this time again the midrange Samsung phones are getting Security Patches in the starting of month. However, the flagship devices of the company like Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8 and S8+ still not get the update. Following the pattern, we think flagship devices of Samsung will get the December security Patch in january 2018.
As the update is rolled out via OTA (over the air), it will take time to reach every devices. You can also check manually by going to About phone in settings and check for updates. Also, make sure you have enough battery and storage space before downloading the update.
