Despite being listed under quarterly update schedule, the Galaxy A50 has been receiving monthly updates so far, at least in India. Today, a new update for the device is taking a round with really something special, that even the changelog didn’t mention. It seems, Samsung has silently rolled out two nifty features – the Night mode and super slow-mo as new camera options for the A50.
The update which weighs in at around 423MB in size bears the version number A505FDDU2ASF2. Weirdly, the changelog mentions nothing about the addition of two camera modes. Well, Samsung update changelog has been bare minimum always and leaves a lot to be desired. Nonetheless, have a look at the official update changelog.
What’s New
- The stability of KnoxGuard has been improved.
- The security of your device has been improved. Security patch level: 1 June 2019
As you can see, the update brings the latest security patch for device as well. Moreover, Samsung has improved the Knox Guard security feature as well.
As of the unrevealed features, the night mode and super slow-mo, it can be found over the camera app by sliding over the different modes if you’ve updated to the latest version. The super slow-mo basically should be 480fps or interpolated to 960fps as the chipset – Exynos 9610 supports super slow-mo only upto 480fps.
In case if you’re not seeing the new modes on Camera app after the update, do clear or reset data of the camera app. It should be visible after a reset.
