The FCC listing of the duo reveals that it would come with model number SM-A225M and SM-A226B respectively. Also, the renders of the smartphones show that they will be available in four color variants of white, black, purple, and green.
Samsung Galaxy A22 4G
Talking about the design, the Samsung Galaxy A22 4G can feature an AMOLED panel. The phone will offer a U-shaped waterdrop notch display at the front with thin bezels. On the other side, there is a square-shaped camera module that houses four lenses with an LED flash beneath it. Adding to this is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor to serve as security.
The Samsung Galaxy 4G features a 6.4-inch HD+ AMOLED display with probably a 60Hz refresh rate. It offers a saturated pixel density of 274PPI and 720 x 1600 pixels screen resolution. The phone measures 8.5mm in thickness and weighs 185 grams.
Moving to the shooting department, the Galaxy A22 4G will carry a quad-camera setup consisting of a 48MP wide primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a couple of 2MP sensors to measure macro and depth aspects. On the other side, the punch-hole could house a 13MP selfie shooter.
Under the hood, it employs a MediaTek Helio G80 processor. Needless to say that with Samsung’s update speed, the phone will power Android 11 based One UI 3.1. The phone will ship with a 5,000mAh battery with 15W of charging support.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G might carry an LCD display. This model is almost identical to the former one but with a thicker chin. Whereas on the rear side, Galaxy A22 5G carries a triple camera module with an in-build LED flash inside. It weighs 205 grams and measures 9mm in thickness.
The primary difference with the smartphone is that it sports a 6.4-inch FHD+ LCD display. The major distinction lies within the processor and camera. The 5G variant runs MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset and equips a triple rear camera module. There’s a 48MP primary, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP sensor to measure depth.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G was spotted on FCC hours after the 4G variant arrived at the certification authority. This model is too packed with a similar battery life and connectivity option. However, the NFC is missing from the Galaxy A22 5G.
