Samsung finally delivers stable Android Oreo 8.0 to Galaxy S8/S8+

A week or so after concluding the beta testing in all most every markets, Samsung has now finally started rolling out the stable Android Oreo 8.0 to Galaxy S8/S8+. The major update is now live in Germany and on those Galaxy S8/S8+ enrolled under Oreo beta program. However, the regular users now on Nougat be prepared as the update can hit your device after 24 Hrs.

The stable Oreo build weighs in at 487.04MB on the Galaxy S8+ running previous beta build. Obviously, the OTA will be smaller in size for the beta users. Interestingly enough, the major update does come with latest security patch dated 1st February 2018. Literally, the yesteryear’s S duos have become the first Samsung devices to receive the Oreo as well as this month’s SMR.

In case if you don’t know, the Android Oreo that Samsung baked is layered by Samsung Experience 9.0. The latest UX, as claimed by the South Korean giant will be more fluid and better than the previous versions(8.1 and 8.5). As an icing on cake, the new UX ought to have unique sammy features baked in it along with the general stock Oreo enhancements or features.
