Google is giving final touches to the next Android version, Android Q. While most of the major OEM’s have updated their eligible devices to the currently latest Android Pie, OPPO seems to be lagging in the venture. At least in India, none of the worthy OPPO devices have received a major update to the Android Pie. Giving an end to the uncertainty, OPPO has now come up with a roadmap detailing the ColorOS 6 update to its eligible devices in India.
As you know, OPPO’s version of Android Pie comes wrapped under ColorOS 6 skin. Obviously, it’d take time for the OEM’s to bake the Android Pie with a custom skin and seed to the devices. Nonetheless, given that other OEM’s have almost done their job and the Android Q around the corner, OPPO should really hurry up.
As per OPPO, it has kick-started ColorOS 6 Trial Version Program for some of the users. They’ve been collecting user feedback to enhance the official version and continuously improve the quality to finally release the official version as soon as possible. How soon it can achieve the target is something we’ve to see. As you can see, ColorOS 6 testing for some of the devices such as OPPO F9 and F9Â Pro have begun since the last month. The next in the pipeline are Find X, F7, R17 Pro, F7 Youth, K1, R15, and R15 Pro. These devices are supposed to get the test builds in between August and September. While, for the devices such as RX17 Pro, RX17 Neo, R17 it can take upto October for the Color0S 6 to hit.
