So Google is now working with the king of Auto-mobiles, Audi. The fight for the OS has lead from smartphone industry to the Auto mobile industry now. As the Wall Street Journal said that the 2 big giants of different market will be announcing their upcoming in car entertainment system project at CES 2014. That is 8 days from now. Also the company will be disclosing the tie ups with chip manufacturer NVIDEA at CES 2014.
WSJ writes:
Next week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Google and German auto maker Audi AG plan to announce that they are working together to develop in-car entertainment and information systems that are based on Google’s Android software, people familiar with the matter said.
an Audi representative Says
“cars are becoming more complex, and with the computing power that is going into vehicles, you need that type of system in the car”, referring to an OS that would give users access to the type of functions that are present on smartphones.
Other details are not available at this moment but with CES just eight days away, we will be hearing from Google very soon.
