Xiaomi is adhering to its Android 11 update schedule. So far several devices including Redmi Note 8 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 9 have grabbed the build. Following this is the Redmi Note 9 which was launched last year with Android 10 based on MIUI 12. Finally, the smartphone is grabbing the latest stable channel, Android 11.
For those unaware, the Redmi Note 9 is also known as Redmi 10X 4G in China. As per norms, the Chinese variant of the device received the Android 11 update prior to the global version. In fact, the smartphone was the first to grab the latest stable channel in its home country.
However, the software is currently under the stable beta phase, which means it will initially roll out to selective units. After assuring that there are no critical bugs, the company will push a border rollout.
