Xiaomi has started to release Android 11 updates to its 2019 launched Redmi Note 8 series. Last month, the new operating system was pushed for the Redmi Note 8T. Now, it is extending to the standard Redmi Note 8 smartphone.
Presently, the latest update for the Redmi Note 8 is rolling out in India. It is just a matter of days till it reaches out to more regions. The Android 11 package is bundled with the firmware version V12.0.1.0.RCOINXM weighs approximately around 2.2GB in size. To mention, the software is still based on MIUI 12. We can expect the company to release MIUI 12.5 to the device in the upcoming month.
According to the official changelog, the build optimizes the system performance and improves system security and stability. Needless to say, it will endorse all the Android 11 goodies. To name a few, it includes chat bubbles, easy conversations, smart device control, one-time permissions, enhanced dark theme mode, native screen recorder, smart media controls, and much more. Also, some under the hood performance improvements and bug fixes are likely o be a part of the update.
