Xiaomi’s Redmi Note did not fail to impress the masses out there but the need for LTE 4G was felt by some. Xiaomi has now fulfilled that wish as they have now unveiled an LTE 4G capable model of their successful smartphone, the Redmi Note 4G.
The Redmi Note 4G packs a Qualcomm MSM8928 Snapdragon 400 chipset along with a uad-core CPU clocked at 1.6 GHz. In comparison its predecessor, the 3G Redmi Note packed a MediaTek MT6592 chipset along with an octa-core CPU clocked at 1.7 GHz. Internal storage memory stands the same at 8 GB with the option to expand it upto 64 GB via a microSD card slot.
Other differences between the two include the Redmi Note 3G being dual-SIM capable while the Redmi Note 4G comes at the cost of a single SIM. Both the phones run on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat with Xiaomi’s touch to it with the MIUI v.5.0. Everything else including the phone’s 13 MP camera, 5.5″ IPS display with 720p resolution, the 3,200 mAh powerhouse and the dimensions remain the same.
The Redmi Note 4G is expected to be out soon and will be available in cyan, blue, dark green white, black and green color schemes. It will be priced the same as the 3G Redmi Note at $162.
