Recent teaser images have confirmed the device will occupy the flagship 50MP IMX890 sensor from Sony. It is the exact same sensor that appeared on the OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, and Oppo Find N2. Even though the sensor is the same, the camera performance might differ depending on the ISP and other hardware, post-processing algorithm, and tuning. Let’s take a look at the already-known specifications of Realme GT Neo 5 5G.
Up to this point, it is clear that there will be two variants of the device. The variant with 240W charging support will have a 4,600mAh battery and the variant with 150W will have a 5,000mAh battery. The only major difference between these variants might be the chipsets they will be powered with. The 240W variant will most-likey feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, whereas the 150W variant will feature the Dimensity 8200U chipset.
The device is confirmed to equip a large 6.7-inch 10-bit AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772×1240 pixels (1.5K) and support for 144Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming. Additionally, there will be an independent display chip and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
It will be a triple camera set-up on the back consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor with OIS, 8MP Ultra-wide, and a 2MP Macro. For selfies, the device is tipped to feature a 16MP front-facing camera.
Furthermore, there is an IR blaster, RBG LED light module on the back, and a new ice core dual-phase heat dissipation system for keeping the device cool under heavy load. The device will run on RealmeUI 4.0 based on Android 13 out of the box. The device will come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Only the purple color variant has been teased until now, but the device is expected to have multiple color options. The device is set to hit the Chinese market on February 9th. We might see one of the variants staying inside China considering the company’s tradition of making an exclusive variant for their home-grown audience.
