A short time ago Oppo has launched its Realme 1 smartphone for the Indian market. Recently the brand has tipped the successor to it to be known as the Realme 2, even the brand has introduced a separate web portal for Realme devices. Earlier it was believed that the device will come powered by an Helio P60 SoC similar to its predecessor, however, the brand has confirmed that this generation of the device will come powered by a Qualcomm SoC. Today almost all specs of the device got leaked online so let’s take a little closer look at them.
Realme 2 will come powered by a Snapdragon 450 Octa-Core processor coupled with an Adreno 506 GPU. The device will be made available in two variants: 3GB RAM+32GB ROM/4GB RAM+64GB ROM and both versions will support expandable storage.
The handset will run on ColorsOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. In the camera segment, the device will house a Dual 13MP+2MP rear snappers whereas in the front an 8MP selfie camera would be provided.
The device would come with a massive 6.2(inch) HD+ IPS Display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. As revealed earlier in a render the device houses a Fingerprint Reader in the rear and it also supports Face Unlock.
The handset will run on a mammoth 4230mAh battery. We are surprised to know that this time there is no 6GB variant appeared in the leaks while its predecessor has the one. The official launch of the device is scheduled for 28th August 2018. For more in-depth info stay tuned to GoAndroid.
