Qualcomm has already prepared for the launching in 2018. They have documented all the specs of the chipsets that are going to launch in 2018. The list of Snapdragon 845, 670, 640 and 460 depicts their GPU specs, CPU properties, Memory, Camera and Integrated Modem details.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 is the only high end chipset that Qualcomm is going to introduce. The other mid range processors are Snapdragon 670, 640 and 460.
The Snapdragon 670 will take place of the 660 which was launched in the mid of this year. The Snapdragon 670 features 8 cores comprising of 4 2GHz Kryo 360 cores and four 1.6GHz Kryo 385 cores. Qualcomm has upgraded the GPU to Adreno 630 for the 670. Even the camera support of he Snapdragon 670 has been increased in comparison with 660. The new upcoming chipset will support 26MP single camera or 13+13 dual cameras. It also supports faster modem than its predecessor.
The other chipsets like Snapdragon 640 and 460 also packs upgraded specs with better GPU. The SD460 will power low-to-mid level devices. It will extend ts support with the pricing of around less than $150.
Well, the technology is evolving and so the chipsets and processors. We are eagerly waiting for these new processors and chipsets.
