Qualcomm is these days facing tough competition from firms like MediaTek but they never stop producing new and amazing hardware. In terms of mobile processors, the brand is maintaining the top position and to hold that for ages they have just showcased a new series of processors. It is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 700-series. You people may have noticed that Qualcomm is slowly decreasing the gap between flagship and mid-range processors. This series follows the same legacy, so without wasting any time let’s check out some facts.
Qualcomm has just revealed its Snapdragon 710 chipset which first comes into headlines in the month of February. The processor is a successor to the existing Snapdragon 660 processor and its performance is a little lower than that of the Snapdragon 835. The all-new Snapdragon 710 is based on the 10nm manufacturing process which means more performance and less consumption of power. This chipset uses the fresh Kryo 360 custom cores which will deliver promising performance.
This processor comes with multi-core AR engine to perform neural network processing tasks. It comprises Spectra 250 Image signal processor and a new ISP, all this aims to deliver better low light images along with great depth containing portrait shots. Compared to the existing Snapdragon 660 SoC this new processor has 40% better power efficiency. Additionally, the chipset is compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ which has the potential to charge your device up to 50% in just 15 min. Qualcomm has already partnered with many manufacturers so in no time we will see devices from Xiaomi, Coolpad, Sony, etc running on the new Snapdragon 710 SoC.
