Qualcomm does not want to leave any rock unturned, they are launching processor for every category of devices. Recently they launched chipsets for smart devices, earlier to that, Snapdragon 835 was launched. Similarly, they have different series of devices for every level of the device.
Today, we have got a hint that they are preparing new mid level SoC for mid-level devices. It is going to replace recently revealed Snapdragon 435.
Qualcomm is developing it on 14nm process unlike 28nm with 8 ARM Cortex-A53 cores. Its GPU (Graphical Processing Unit) is going to have 600 MHz frequency. It will come packed with low power configurations which will help it sustain much less power.
Currently, devices like Redmi 4 Prime, Huawei Y7 Prime and many other devices are suing these devices.
We expect Qualcomm to ship these new processors by next quarter of 2017. We will start seeing the new devices running Snapdragon 450 by end of this year or by Q1 2018.
Well, we hope more power efficient and high performance chipset will make a mark next year.
