Almost every great Android smartphone packs a Qualcomm SoC inside. Qualcomm has recently introduced its mid-range chipset known as the Snapdragon 710. This processor has been employed in a number of devices including the Vivo Nex-series and it undoubtedly delivers crazy performance. Today Qualcomm has surprised us with a new member in the Snapdragon-series and it is termed as the Snapdragon 670. So without making any delay let’s check out more about it.
By its name, one can easily guess that it is a successor to the pre-existing Snapdragon 660 SoC. Considering its specifications we can say it shares a lot with the Snapdragon 710 processor. It is an Octa-Core processor containing two mighty Cortex-A75 based cores while the other six are based on the Cortex A55 architecture. The clock speed of the two powerful cores is kept at 2.0Ghz whereas other six are running at 1.7Ghz.
The processor is based on a 10nm LPP manufacturing process and Qualcomm claims that compared to the Snapdragon 660’s performance, Snapdragon 670 is 25% better. Being based on the 10nm process you can expect some great battery life as it consumers comparatively less power. This processor comes with an all-new Adreno 615 GPU. Snapdragon 670 comes with Spectra 250 ISP and it can support Dual-Cameras up to 25MP+16MP. This processor also comes with a fresh AI engine that helps to perform AI functions in a better way.
