Today, Qualcomm Technologies in collaboration with Swisscom and mobile communication giants including OPPO, LG Electronics, Askey and WNC have announced first 5G commercial services in Europe. Swiss Telecom’s 5G network services are expected to boost the roll-out and expansion of 5G network in the region.
Latest 5G smartphones manufactured by Oppo and LG along with devices from Askey and WNC feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC with X50 5G modem and antenna modules with integrated RF transceiver, RF front-end and antenna elements, the industry’s first commercial 5G mobile platform. The devices include Qualcomm Technologies’ 5G solutions, which is set to bring some potential features – near-instant access to cloud services, shopping with AR, multiplayer cloud-based gaming, real-time video collaboration and much more. The debut of 5G services in the European region will definitely bring a drastic change in how people interact with their devices and ultimately reform their way of living.
