The Xiaomi has launched its new budget smartphone that is Xiaomi Redmi 5. The smartphone is available in Black, Gold, Light Blue, and Rose Gold colour variants. It has a price tag of CNY 799 (roughly Rs. 7,800) for the 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant, while the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant is priced at CNY 899 (roughly Rs. 8,800).
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 comes with the 5.7 inches, 83.8 cm2 IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display. It has a display resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels with the pixel density of 282 ppi. The phone has a design with the Front glass, aluminium body and shield with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The dimensions measures at 151.8 x 72.8 x 7.7 mm (5.98 x 2.87 x 0.30 in) with a weight of 157 g (5.54 oz).
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 runs on the MIUI 9 UI based on the Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) operating system. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset and Octa-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 processor. It has a spot of Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone has 3 GB RAM/ 2 GB RAM. The phone packs a 32 GB/ 16 GB of internal memory that can be expandable up to 128 GB via Micro SD card.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 has a powerhouse of Li-Po 3300 mAh capacity with the Non-removable battery. It has a feature of Fast battery charging 5V/2Awhch is quite superb. The smartphone packs a 12 MP primary camera and 5 MP front camera for shooter selfies and video calls. The primary camera is capable of 1080p@30fps video recording.
