August 2016, Xiaomi Redmi 3s smartphone was launched. It is the latest budget smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer. The Highlight feature, it has Fingerprint sensor which is not come in budget range of devices. In India, Xiaomi Redmi 3s at a price of Rs. 6,999.

The phone comes with a 5.00 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels at a PPI of 294. It measures 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5 mm (5.48 x 2.74 x 0.33 in) with 144 g (5.08 oz). Xiaomi Redmi 3s is a Dual sim device which accepts One Micro-Sim and One Nano-Sim(dual stand-by).

The Xiaomi Redmi 3s runs Android OS, v6.0.1 (Marshmallow). It boast Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.1 GHz Cortex-A53, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes with 16GB, 2GB RAM or 32GB, 3GB RAM that can be expand up to 128GB via a microSD card.

As far as the cameras, the Xiaomi Redmi 3s packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. Its records a video with a capability of 1080p@30fps. It includes Geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR, panorama, phase detection autofocus, LED flash.
