A few days back, Gionee launched their smartphone Gionee Steel 2 in China at a price of CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs. 68,400). It is available in Jazz Gold and Gold Black colour variant.
The Gionee Steel 2 has come with 5.0 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display. It has the display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with a pixel density of 294 ppi. It measures 144.3 x 70.5 x 8.6 mm (5.68 x 2.78 x 0.34 in) dimensions and a weight of 160 g (5.64 oz).
The smartphone runs on the Android OS, v6.0 (Marshmallow) based on Amigo 3.5. It inbuilt Mediatek MT6737 chipset and Quad-core 1.25 GHz Cortex-A53 processor. It sports of Mali-T720MP2 GPU. The phone has 3 GB RAM with 16/32 GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 256 GB via Micro SD card.
It packs a 8 MP primary camera and a 5 MP secondary camera for front shooter selfies. The primary camera is capable of 1080p@30fps video recording. It includes Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR, autofocus, LED flash. It consists of Li-Po 4000 mAh capacity with the Non-removable battery. The smartphone is a Dual SIM device that accepts a Micro-SIM.
