Pokemon Go is adding a new in-game event to celebrate the coming equinox. The event will start on September 22nd at 1 PM PDT and end on October 2nd at the same time.
The dev said that users will have a chance to earn double stardust for catching Pokémon and hatching Eggs. Local PokeStops and Gyms will also distribute 2 Km eggs that might hand players an uncommon Pokemon such as Chansey, Mareep, Laviar and others. Further, Lure Modules and Lucky Eggs can be procured through special boxes from the in-game store. Apart from that, there will be Super Incubators that hatch eggs 1.5x faster than normal incubators. This is all for the special limited time till the event ends.
Niantic also reminds us that that registering a new Pokemon to the Pokedex will get players 3x the normal XP during this event. This is also the last chance for players to battle the three Legendary creatures (Raikou, Entei, or Suicune) before they swap their places on September 30. Most recently, Niantic added a legendary Pokemon in July. To know more about the update hit the source link below.
