The global Redmi Note 9s aka Poco F1 is getting April 2020 Security patch update. The update is based on MIUI 11.0.8.0 Global Stable ROM and brings new security enhancements along with some other fixes. The firmware version 11.0.8.0.QEJMIXMÂ is rolling out via OTA update in a phased manner. It will take a few weeks for the update to fully roll out on every unit.

The update weighs 1.9GB in size and improves system security. There are no more fixes or performance tweaks bundled along with the latest update. According to some user comments on Reddit, the MIUI 11.0.8.0 performs better than the MIUI 11.0.6.0.
However, if you can’t wait for a few days for the OTA, then you can manually install the MIUI 11.0.8.0 update.
We recommend you to manually backup all data on a smartphone before proceeding for the manual installation. Enable USB debugging, and you will need a laptop or PC. You can download the update from the source link below and flash it manually.
