Paranoid Android came out of its long slumber in May 2017 with the release of Android 7.1.2 Nougat based Paranoid Android 2017. The new ROM promised great features like an improved floating window mode, immersive mode, battery style, an advanced power dialog, support for Paranoid OTA updates, a theme engine and much more. The aospa-based ROM came back strong with promises of regular updates and solid support. And they have been working towards that promise.
Now, we have a new Paranoid Android 7.2.3 version rolling out with some minor features and bug fixes. The most notable of them is the addition of support to translate PA to other languages. The new update includes Arabic, Catalan, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Czech, Dutch, English UK and 12 more. That ought to drive more adoption of the ROM.
Further, there are some personalization options that allow changing app icons and labels. Users will be able to use custom icon packs and still add their own labels. These settings are found by long pressing the home screen and tapping the “personalization” option.
Apart from these neat small features, there is a long list of bug fixes which we will link to below. Also, some changes in the ROM are device specific. The developer’s team also mentions that this update might not be available via OTA, so you will have to flash the build manually.
As always, you can find the latest builds in their downloads page.
