OPPO Reno launch in China is slated on April 10. But it seems, the device gonna go for a global ride too within weeks of its China launch. Today, OPPO has confirmed the global launch of OPPO Reno on April 24 in an event at Zurich, Switzerland.
At MWC 2019, OPPO did grab the eyeballs with its 10x Zoom technology (5x Optical, 10x Hybrid). Since then, OPPO fanatics were waiting for a device to be out with the crazy zoom technology. Although Huawei with its P30 Pro has overtaken OPPO, the company is all set to impart tough competition to the P30 Pro with its none other than the OPPO Reno. Yes, as you might know, the Reno boasts the crazy camera set-up with one sensor being telescopic, capable of 5x Optical Zoom or 10x Hybrid Zoom.
The OPPO Reno has yet another speciality. It’s the first OPPO device to bear 5G support out-of-the-box. So, we can expect the device to be available in the region where the 5G network is on-air, or soon to be aired.
While we don’t have a concrete idea of the Megapixel counts on Reno. But, we expect the device to have the same setup that OPPO showcased at MWC. That, is a triple camera setup comprising of 48MP (IMX586) primary lens, an 8MP super wide-angle while the periscope lens capable of 10x hybrid zoom is of 13MP. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor and a minimum of 6GB RAM is expected.
