Oppo unveiled the Reno 8 series in China as well as other countries, including India. The lineup includes three models: Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+. Now, the company has added the fourth device in the series: Oppo Reno 8Z 5G. Currently, the phone is available in Thailand. Although it is soon expected to launch in other markets as well. Meanwhile, let’s take a closer look at the latest 5G-powered device by the brand.
At the front, Oppo Reno 8Z features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a left-aligned punch hole cutout. The panel offers a standard 60Hz refresh rate, a Full HD+ resolution, and an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.
Under the helm, the smartphone draws power from an octa-core processor based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC. The chipset is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. On the software front, it boosts Android 12 out of the box along with a layer of ColorOS 12.1 on top.
In terms of optics, the Oppo Reno 8Z carries a vertically aligned triple-camera setup on the back. The module consists of a 64MP primary unit, a 2MP macro snapper, and a 2MP sensor to measure depth. On the other side, there’s a 16MP lens to serve selfies for video calls.
In addition, the handset packs a 4500 mAh battery with 33W fast charging over a USB Type-C port. The other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi, dual-SIM, and 4G VoLTE, 5G network support.
As mentioned, the Oppo Reno 8Z is currently up for grabs in Thailand for ฿12,990. The phone is available in a single storage configuration of 8GB/ 128GB. It arrives in Starlight Black and Gold color options.
